Background

JaclynPhillyTherapistHeadshots-42circle

I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Pennsylvania, and I provide individual and couples psychotherapy to adults in Center City Philadelphia. My training and clinical experiences have ranged from university counseling to residential nursing homes, community mental health, and outpatient private practice.

I have received extensive training in psychodynamic psychotherapy and have a particular interest in relational psychoanalytic theory, which I am currently nurturing through a four-year training program at The Institute for Relational Psychoanalysis of Philadelphia. Relational theory largely informs my psychotherapeutic stance in its conviction that each of our individual psychologies derives from our relations with other people. With the self of the therapist as a necessary part of the therapeutic process, change evolves from each person unlocking something in the other as the therapy evolves.
